Since the beginning of the festival, it has been a virtue for Strøm to confront its visitors with concerts and events at alternative places throughout Copenhagen. The events will take place all over Copenhagen, from The Copenhagen Metro to Amager’s incineration plant (Amagerforbrændingen), and outside Copenhagen in the cities of Helsingør, Hillerød and Albertslund.

STRØM OPENING RECEPTION
Together with a selection of Strøm’s curators, Cocktail Box hosts Strøm’s opening reception. Read more.
LYS//LYD: THE OPENING CEREMONY
For Strøm’s opening concert, composers Jacob Eriksen and Svend Hvidtfelt Nielsen, light designer Jakob Kvist Hansen and twenty-four musicians of the Musicology department of the University of Copenhagen will temporarily transform the beautiful building of Musikvidenskab into one big musical and visual playground. Sounds from Around, presented by Snyk and Womex, is an open air chill out-event that will bring you a clash of avantgarde electronica, breakbeats, dub and world music, creating foreign but yet welcoming and inspiring soundscapes. Read more.

With unique compositions by Danish electronic artists Beastie Respond, Spelling Bee, Hvad and Kenton Slash Demon, Trans Metro Express will take you on an electronic journey through Copenhagen performed live in a metro train. Read more.

REWIND: A DAY OF BASS

MAD PROFESSOR
Mad Professor (UK), godfather of modern bass music, join forces with his son, Joe Ariwa (UK), for an outdoors dub music extravaganza. Their legendary Electronic Dub Show is presented by HLR, Mid Week Brakes, Buto, KPH Volume and Strøm. Read more.

BASSTARD: STRØM I ELVÆRKET
With the biggest soundsystem in all of Elsinore, Basstard and Strøm will take you from house to dubstep, and all the subgenres in between, giving you a new perspective on electronic music in the suburb. Read more.

Rewind and Strøm presents one of this year’s biggest bass nights, at which Dublifters and BOKS in an epic sound clash will battle for the audience’s favour, followed by a DJ set by Bristol-based dubstep producer Mensah (UK). Read more.

STØJ
Held in the centre of Hillerød, Støj and Strøm presents a full day of electronic music, with a wide range of Danish and international artists including Norwegian artists Ole Torjus and Peder Simonsen. Read more.
